That brings me to the point of my post. We can easily see that a tank can kill us. People know of the dangers with possible electrocution. People flee to safety when a tornado is coming. If you heard shooting in a department store; more than likely, you would take cover.
Remember, I was told to never become comfortable with those things that can kill you! Always proceed with caution. Why? Cause you can literally sear your conscience of the dangers to where you never think about it. You will overlook any forms of safety precautions and in time, you can find yourself in a life-threatening situation or ultimately, death.
The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) Oh, Shawn, come on, the Lord forgives us. He can’t see our sin, we are forgiven of past, present, and future sins. It doesn’t matter to God, we all sin! Really? Let’s see what Paul has to say about it:
Romans 6:1-6 (KJV) 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
