Plow My Heart

Lord, plow the fallow ground in my heart! Make me tender to your touch! May I never assume my condition. Lord, show me the true intentions of my heart. Holy Spirit, change me into who I am to be!

Stepping Upon Other Stepping Stones

Please, just take a moment, close your eyes and begin to think about you and your family.  You have always been taught to be religious all the while you have absolutely no intimate relationship with your Father God.  You live in a community where Jesus is more of a religious act; there is no evangelical church locally to get fed a good spiritual diet.  The closest place is an hours walk away if not more.

We could go on and on; I don’t know about you but I began to suffocate and panic just thinking about this, not having the rich daily relationship in my life.  In all reality, sadly, I just described La Laguna, Honduras to you before we built the church, but also, 100’s of more communities as well.  This is an all too familiar issue we deal with here in Honduras; communities after communities bound in religion, but no place to grow in Christ Jesus.

The heartbeat of MorningStar Missions is to reach out deep into these remote mountainous areas of Honduras and bring the light of Jesus Christ to them.  There are 1,000’s of hungry people wanting to know more about their heavenly Father.  The fields are ripe for picking!  TO READ MORE, click below to the right.

Today, La Laguna is forever changed!!  Words can’t even begin to describe what God is doing here. Within 7 months we have seen an amazing transformation; it’s one that you have to take note of, it can’t be ignored.

Recently, we just had two amazing groups from Alabama and Arizona come.  I can’t help but to think of walking on a trail after it has just rained.  It’s not uncommon to come upon fresh boot prints in the mud.  That is exactly what I see after these two groups have left, a fresh boot print of Jesus Christ upon the community.  LIVES HAVE BEEN CHANGED!!  The people are completely different.  There is a whole different atmosphere upon their faces and hearts!!  There is a fire brewing.  TO READ MORE, click below to the right.

Coming Together to Bless the People

Recently, I was so blessed to get the chance to work with two great ministries doing the work of the Lord. I will forever cherish the memories with both of them and can't wait to make more in the future.

With the first group it was amazing to see the men give their entire strength, endurance, and ALL their sweat to fulfill what God had planned for building the La Laguna church. They did a great job building the first Christian church in the mountains so people can now join as one in the same place to worship God. While the men were working hard, so were the women. They were sharing the love of Jesus to many little kids through the VBS program and with the love in their heart. Also, they blessed the people of that area with whatever medication needed for each person. In this time period I was concluding the final days of my school year, so I did not get to spend as much time with the first group as I got to with the second.  TO READ MORE, click below to the right.

Letting Your Light Shine Out of Darkness

Recently, I had a very unfortunate situation occur in my family.  My brother passed away suddenly.  It was never expected and hit me like a ton of bricks!  One thing I knew for sure was that I had to go be home with my family during this situation.  I wanted to be used of God to help them see who Jesus is for their own lives.  I had to be a light in their time of darkness!

Being a light in the midst of darkness can be discouraging at times.  If a light is never turned on in a dark room then nobody knows the power and difference the light can make.  However, if a light is turned on people can manage much clearer to find what they are looking for or where they are going.   But how many of us know how uncomfortable it can be when the light is first turned on?  TO READ MORE, click below to the right.
