Believe With Us!!

1/4/2015

Comments

As ministry expands, needs expand.  At this time, we are running our ministry with 2 vehicles.  Pastor Favio drives the black Honda Accord and we drive the Nissan X Trail 4x4.  Some of you might be asking, "I thought this was a ministry that reaches into the mountains.  How can they get Pastor Favio's car up there?"  EXACTLY!!  By the grace of God, he has been able to get where he needs to go up to this time.  BUT we are now going into communities that he can't get into.  He needs a 4x4 vehicle!

We must make a purchase for another vehicle and this is our plan.  We are believing to purchase a 4 door 2002 Toyota Hilux diesel 4x4 and give our car to Pastor Favio free and clear!  We don't want him to have any financial burdens whatsoever.  We are open to any 4x4, but the Hilux is readily available here in Honduras and also parts.  If anyone is reading this and they have another option for us (donating a truck, shipping a vehicle, or etc.), please let us know.  I know it sounds crazy, but this truck sells for around $15,000.  They are considered like gold and highly sought after in Honduras and Guatemala.

Don't make a mistake saying, "I don't have $15,000.  So, I don't have anything to give."  We all have something and something adds up!!  If you want to be a part of this financially, please contact me at:  shawn@morningstarmissions.org

Thank you for your consideration!!

All I Want for Christmas

12/23/2014

Comments

Many of us are dreaming of all the new toys and gadgets that will be coming this Christmas.  As a former techie/gadget guy and now living in Honduras, my wants have shifted dramatically.  This video clearly explains what I want for Christmas.  I want to give a gift of a home to a family in the mountains.

We are needing to raise $260 to make this happen.  Would you consider all or part, even $25 will go a long ways!

Preventative Parasite and Worm Treatment

11/20/2014

Comments

It is heartbreaking witnessing children being sick because of parasites and worms.  They can wreak havoc on a child's body and even cause death.  What's even more disturbing, this can be treated so easily!!

We at MorningStar Missions are establishing a preventative care program within 3 to 4 communities.  Treating adults and children for parasites and worms.  Also, will be educating them on the proper steps to good hygiene.

This program will be approximately $225 every 3 months.  We are looking for individuals that will partner with us to make a serious impact in preventative healthcare.  Thank you for your consideration!!

No more holes in their roof!!  Praise God!!  This was such a blessing for us in many way, but what was more touching than anything was seeing many from the community come together and help.  We were able to replace their roof through the donations of Randy and Marisa Peterson.

Providing for the Hungry

The corn harvest in La Laguna and surrounding areas was not what it was expected to produce.  We are getting more and more requests for help in feeding the hungry.  Our goal is to help those in need.  At this time we are able to help a limited number of people, but needing to help so many more and to provide more than usual.

Our goal is to raise $290, this will help us to buy corn, beans, and rice.  Please consider partial or all.  To donate, contact me directly, "Email" or donate directly to PayPal, "paypal account not required"

Praise the Lord!!  The waterlines are laid and the family has water at their home.  This was a wonderful day and it was special to spend it with this young family installing the waterline.  They were so happy to have this updated convenience right in their home.  Thank you to the Walkers and Synders for providing the money needed to make this happen!!

Not Even Fit For An Animal

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN FUNDED 10/20/2014

I don't mean to be crude here, but how many farmers do you know would put their animals in this type of structure, but this family lives in it!  It just breaks my heart to see them in this kind of condition especially the amount of rain we have been receiving lately.

Our plan is to replace their entire roof and then take the old roofing and enclose the walls for better protection.  This is such a simple project that can be completed with such little money; it will add a little bit more comfort from the elements and security for the family.

We have estimated that it will take approximately $230 to replace the roof and wood timbers for trusses.  We are now collecting donations, you can donate partial or all.  To donate, contact me directly, "Email" or donate directly to PayPal, "paypal account not required"

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN FUNDED

We take so many things for granted; one being a leak free roof. We are working on a project to replace this roof, but need to raise the funds. $165 will cover the complete cost of doing so. Contact me or go to:  https://secure11.nm-secure.com/morningstarmissions/online-giving

SOMETHING SO SMALL CAN CHANGE LIVES!!

Imagine no clean running water for you and your family.  Your only source is hoping it rains enough to collect it off of your dirty roof!  Unfortunately, this is the daily reality of 1,000's of people within our area.

As we were walking through this new community to our ministry I came across this beautiful couple.  As we were sharing with one another, I noticed this concrete water tank above their home.  They shared with me that they are not hooked up to it, because they don't have enough money for the waterlines.  Come to find out they only need $75 for the lines.  WHAT?!?!?

Now, let's put this in perspective.  That can be 4 to 6 months income to him and his family.  Can you support your family on $18 per month?  Silly question, right?  For Honduras, that's a struggle as well.

PLEASE HELP!!  We are looking for 3 families to donate $25.00 each.  LET'S FIX THIS PROBLEM!!  Thank you so much!!    DONATE
