Look at that awesome smile! WOW! If we all could smile like this! I met this fella on my walk this morning!
Out for a morning walk! Look at the awesome road they are building. This goes for about 50 miles; from La Entrada to the border of Guatemala. Then a few other pictures from our village, Copan Ruinas.
We had a wonderful time today in La Laguna! It was so amazing seeing all the happy kids! Many of you know how special children are to Nancy. She had a huge smile on her face the whole time!
Just got back from Protrerillos, Honduras. I had the awesome opportunity to install this aquaponics system for an orphanage, "Jeremiah 29:11." Thanks to all those that helped me!
Hello all! Here at MorningStar Missions, we have devastating news to share. Many of you know and have grown to love Pastor Favio and his precious family. On Wednesday of this week, Pastor Favio, his family, and others were on their way to a ministerial conference. While en route, they were in a severe auto accident that took the life of their little 5-year-old daughter, Alicia. This accident has unfortunately impacted them so many ways as we all could imagine. There are two things we are requesting, your prayers of support and a financial consideration. Many don't understand the life in Honduras, but auto insurance, health insurance, and life insurance are non-existent for most of the population. Due to this situation, not only are they facing the loss of their little princess, but replacing a ministry vehicle that serves 12 churches or ministries in various locations in the mountains, medical bills, and the cost of the funeral. ![]() It's rare that we ask for money on Facebook, but I boldly request that all consider what this loss would mean to you and your family? What it would mean to you if a community of believers came to your rescue in your time of need? This is an opportunity to sow seed into good ground for the Kingdom of God. MorningStar Missions will collect all funds and be giving it directly to the Mayorga family. You can either give by clicking here: http://bit.ly/Donate2PastorFavio This is to PayPal (YOU DON'T NEED A PAYAPAL ACCOUNT! Just click the button, "Donate with a Debit or Credit Card") OR send a check to: MorningStar Missions 1352 N. Logsdon Pkwy Radcliff, KY 40160 MAKE SURE ALL DONATIONS ARE MARKED "Pastor Favio Mayorga." Thank you to all for your donation of love! Giving away Bibles. Imagine, as a pastor, you have over half of your adults in the church don't have their very own Bible. The problem is, they are very expensive in the stores; if they are even available. A Bible can cost a family a week to half months income. Nancy and I are going to fix this. We found the Bible Society in Guatemala. We can buy them for $2.61 each! $30 can provide 12 Bibles! We want to purchase 250 Bibles and spread them throughout the churches we minister in! What an awesome place to sow a seed. GOD'S WORD INTO THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE!
This little one was very shy and she didn't want anything to do with us! "Mommy, who are these weird people that speak a different language?"
There is nothing like having a mission team come in from the USA. What a great blessing to have them here to flex some muscles and deliver some wonderful teaching. Thank you JMSM - Abundant Life Church for coming to Honduras. You certainly have helped change lives! My friend, Marianne, sporting her new ride here in Copan Ruinas! Amazingly, they seem to be tough little cars. Especially, for the roads here!
There is a human propensity to be self-centered and in many cases, leads to more self-absorption. When we choose to pour our lives into others, not only do we change their life, but we change our own.
Like a pond with no inlet or outlet, it becomes stagnant over time, but a river has a continual flow of life; giving and receiving! This is teamwork at its best! Katia and Ever helping Nancy prepare for her training class for the children's ministers in the mountains.
